On a silent night just before the first day of school for her, Yukina had prepared all her stuff by midnight. The clothes neatly placed on the closet, the books arranged and other stuff. She prefers to get things done rather than looking for her shampoo naked when she's in the middle of a bath. She hated looking things in a luggage. It's just huge and... heavy. When she was preparing to sleep, she wore a white sleeping gown. Pajamas looked childish on her, so she refused. Thing is, she never think weird about wearing a white gown to bed. Her body will make it seem like a ghost, but she doesn't think that way. Sometimes her servants even screamed when she saw her in bed. What happened to the servants later on? Well, she fainted. No biggie. What's biggie is that she woke up. Next time, she thought, she should take that maid as her alarm clock.
Aside from past, she laid down on her bed, tired from all the arrangements. She closed her eyes twenty minutes, but she didn't seem to be losing consciousness bit by bit as usual. She groaned softly. She was too tired to be asleep. Either way, she had one destination in mind. The library. It should be grand, seeing as this is one grand school. She opened her door and walked towards the library. She didn't know where is it, so her eyes were always on the map and that leads to wall banging, tripping and lastly, getting lost - with a map.
After half an hour looking for it, she finally found it. As expected, the library was open twenty four hours a day and no one was inside. Typical, since it is late at night. The librarian was sleeping on her desk soundly, thinking the movement of the door will wake her up. Yukina head for the shelves. Looking for a book about fantasies. She likes novels about magic. Even though it is common, it's still great to read epic battles. If not about magic, then it's about teen school life. If the main character can relate to her, even better! Unable to find a book she likes, she ended up standing there, looking for her book.
She wondered if anyone will come to the library. They probably wouldn't see her, but if they do, while, what do you think about a girl with her hair let down to the knees, hiding her whole body, except her legs? Her eyes were bloody red as well~

Korii ran with noisy steps down the hallway and skidded to a stop, almost missing his destination. He did it again, sadly. Did what? Failed to be able to control his invisibility gift one bit. He was almost completely invisibible, his silhouette just faintly outlined and was faintly filled with dull colors. What was the big deal about this? People in his dorm thought he was a ghost and were currently chasing him to kill the 'ghost'. Geeze, some people just didn't listen to logic when they wanted to have their imaginations go wild.
The boy quickly opened the door and closed it, trying not to be loud. He closed his eyes and gave out a dry chuckle to himself. For once, he actually had a plan and was on his way to sticking to it. Korii simply chose the library to hide out in not to just wait out the invisibility duration but to read up on some tips on how to control it. Korii wasn't a complete idiot like some people thought...
Korii wiped the sweat from his brow before opening his crimson eyes to scan the room. There was the librarian who was asleep, though you can't really blame her, and then a girl. 'W-Wait what?' Korii's thought process stumbled like a newborn calf struggling to stand and take its first few steps.
There was a girl, unless Korii was simply imagining it all. She was extremely pale and contrasting against her skin was long, dark hair that easily reached the girl's knees. Finishing it off was a pair of red eyes, a mind boggling feature. Korii's eyes were a natural vivid crimson but he never did meet another person with red eyes. He shuddered. Or maybe this wasn't a person... She certainly did look like a ghost.
Korii took a step, trying to move to the other side of the library hoping that the ghost girl wouldn't see him. It would be such a great thing to go completely invisible at this very moment but his magical gift never did play in his favor. Thump! Korii's eyes went unusually large as he hit a small statue that beginning to fall. He caught it but looked up, praying he wasn't heard.

Yukina couldn't find the book she wanted, so she moved to another section. There's a lot of book here, there must be something about electricity controlling or telekinesis! She would feel shamed if a human could do better telekinesis than her. She was born to control Telekinesis better than human, after all. She backed a few steps and turned around and saw a faint image. It looks human. Afraid of ghosts herself, she covered her mouth tightly, to prevent her from screaming. She walked slowly, almost trembling so much that she could have fallen. She avoided the faint image, though. Even though ghosts are transparent, she doesn't want to walk through them. Maybe she could get possessed! That's a no-no!
She tried to look for a electric controlling book rather than telekinesis book now. If she's lucky, maybe this ghost is able to get electrocuted. She stopped. What is she kidding, she already knew how to control her abilities! She's not going to kill someone with it. She just wants to see if it really is a ghost or not. The thought made her tremble more, as if the ghost is just right behind her. The thought of a headless body, the thought of blood from the eyes made her feel sickly. She's dead. She's going to die right in this spot. Then she'll turn to a vengeful ghost and kill others.
Dear God. She shouldn't have came. She mustered her courage and tried to look at the image, but it failed her. Suddenly, she heard a THUMP! just beside her. She yelped softly, pressing on her lips even tighter, for fear she might attract the ghost's attention. For a second, she thought she saw a statue in the corner of her eye. She wished she could die right this second.
"Anyone...here....?'' She asked in a faint voice facing the books, scared to look behind her. There's no point in staying still like this. She's going to die anyways. Tears begin to form from her eyes. Her thoughts were making her scared, this time. She wondered why the librarian must be asleep at this time of hour. It's only twelve...! If the librarian is awake, she could at least take a random book and sit right in front of the librarian so she wouldn't have to be so scared..

Quivering, Korii placed the statue back in its original spot before carefully pressing himself against the shells as if that would make him turn even more invisible than he already was. He could easily feel his heartbeat pulsing adrenaline and blood throughout his veins while his chest seemed to heave up and down. If Korii was the type of guy to swear, he would... A million times at the speed of lightning. The goosebumps on his skin seemed to grow bigger and the hair on the back of his neck stood up straight.
"Anyone...here...?"
Korii's body went more rigid and he could've sworn he was going to end up getting a cramp. He opened his mouth and took in a shaky breath, still debating whether or not he should answer. He bit his lower lip and opened up one eye which he didn't realize he had closed. The ghost girl was still staring at the book case but if Korii wasn't just hearing things, it sounded like she was scared. Then, being the little daydreamer he was, Korii's imagination went wild. Another shiver raced down his spine as he couldn't help but start to have his mind drift...
'S-She could still be dead.. Maybe she was murdered! I mean this whole magic business is dangerous! W-What if she's just pretending to be innocent and awaiting revenge? Why won't that librarian wake up?! Oh please, please, wake up! There's a ghost for Pete's sake and she's going to kill me and I'm going to die. I'm going to die. Oh no! What about my sisters? What will they think?'
All the hurried thoughts couldn't help but make the redhead tear up at the thought. After a few more seconds passed, he snapped out of his thoughts and tried to comprehend the situation again. Korii gulped. It couldn't hurt to try and make friends with a ghost right? Not all ghosts were murderous...and wanting revenge... and evil...and scary... right?
"U-Um... I am?" Korii's nerve seemed to break and he didn't have enough energy to stay pinned against the book shelves. He stood there, his knees buckled, and his big red eyes awaiting what seemed like...death.

She wanted to die right this minute. She so want to die right now. She wanted the ghost to cut off her head, so she will not feel any pain. Kinda like, an instant death! Yeah, that's the great way to go. She won't have any time to think of regrets and go to where she belongs - hell or heaven. The thought of hell really makes her want to cry but the thought of heaven makes her feel at peace. But as usual, negatives are always more powerful than positive, so she started crying softly, wanting to hold it in, but it was too much for her.
"Are... you... going to... cut my head...?" She asked, even more frail than before now that she's crying. This is definitely the worse day of her life, since death is here. She wondered where's the grim reaper, it comes when people die right? In her games, it would come.. She wanted to see what the ghost looks like as well, but, oddly enough, she don't feel anything behind her now. Usually, she would feel relieved, but that makes her more afraid since she doesn't know where he is, and how close is he...
"Wh-Where are... you...?" She got a new plan now. First, she'll provoke the ghost and make it kill her quickly! Since death have another meaning. She heard, when you die, it'll just be a pitch black world. Nothing is there, except you, alone, in that dark world. Sure, it's going to be scary, but it's better than being like this.
She shouldn't have come to this ghost-ridden place.. Now's she's going to die without knowing who her soul mate is. How horrible. She wondered if her soulmate would feel something wrong when she dies. That'll make her feel better.

'Am I going to cut her head! What kind of question is that? It couldn't be- ...No way! She's human! ....And she thinks...I'm a ghost?' Korii couldn't help but hit his forehead with the palm of his hand. 'No way... Stupid invisibility....' Korii shook his head softly to himself. He pulled out on of the books and opened it, not to read, but it was harder to see invisible things.. Levitating objects were tons easier.
"You're kidding, right? Of course I'm not going to cut your head.. That's awful," Korii replied more confident than he usually was, "Err... I'm 5 meters to your left. If you'd look, you can see a floating book.."
The boy waited patiently for the girl to turn her head or respond. She was really good at being still even when she seemed deadly afraid of one of the most innocent and non-violent people. Oh the irony... Korii tilted his head to one side as he tried to dig through his thoughts seeing if he could remember if anyone even remotely spoke of this girl or even described her. 'Pale, white gown, long hair, and red eyes... Very ghost-like but she doesn't seem...aggressive,' Korii pondered almost ended up dropping the book he picked out.
That reminded him there was still the sleeping librarian. He turned to look at her and smiled. She seemed really tired... He couldn't help but wonder if she always did this. He figured he'd bring the woman a pillow and a blanket sometime. Sleeping on a desk so uncomfortably in a chair just didn't seem fit for someone who dedicated all her time to the library.

The 'ghost' then start talking to her, this time with a tone much human-like. She took a deep breath and slowly exhale. She grabbed the shelves tightly, as if they were her only support and slowly turned. Her feet felt heavy and as if they won't budge at all. Slowly moving her feet, she then turned her body slowly. Even if she's fifty percent sure he is not a ghost, it is still scary!
When she turned enough to see a floating book, she was surprised and accidentally banged her head just below to top shelves. The pain made her to fall down and looked up with an eye closed.
'It's not a ghost... It's not a ghost...' She kept repeating in her mind. When she is stable enough, she stood up while keeping an eye on the book. Then, when she stood up completely, she tried to look for the human. Well, he sounds like a guy, so maybe he's a boy. Indeed, there is a faint image but it's too dim to see. She stepped closer to the boy, pulling her arm out and tried to touch the boy. She doesn't care where she touched him, she just want to see if he is solid or not. When she's sure he's solid, she fell down, relieve that the boy isn't a ghost.
"Wh- Invincibility?" She sighed, slowly recuperating. She then reached for the bookshelves. "Sorry about that... I'm scared of... those." She apologized. She heard it's DANGEROUS, to say the forbidden word at night. When she said dangerous, it means them, eating you, or coming for revenge, those stuff. Really scary!
She then forced a smile after being weak all these times. "It must be hard to unable to control it, huh...." She said, since sometimes, she can't even lift up an eraser. But that was when she was young.

Korii almost jumped when the girl fell after banging her head. He couldn't help but smile. She seemed rather...clumsy. Like she was constantly unsure of her movements unlike the other students who seemed to move like water. Fluid, smooth, and elegantly... The boy watched the girl with questioning eyes as she moved closer. Her fingers just grazed his shoulder before she fell again. Korii jumped this time and almost fumbled the book again. He felt an urge to help her up but she would most likely be unable to see his hand even if it was extended.
"Haha, don't worry. A lot of things are scary, especially at night," Korii said thinking that this girl wasn't the only one scared and that fact itself was a relief. The redhead blushed as she mentioned his lack of ability to control his magical gift. This time, he was thankful for being unseen.
"Yeah.. It is a bit of a hassle. U-Um.. I'm Korii Conrad. Nice to meet you," he greeted and properly introduced himself. His image flickered, going completely visible before fading again. He couldn't help but feel like he was beginning to get a migraine as he subconsciously was struggling to get his invisibility to just go away for good! Or, at least for now. "Anywho, what's your name?"
The boy's body went rigid as a herd of footsteps thundered outside of the thick library door. It was the mob of students that had accused him of being a ghost. Korii bit his tongue in anticipationl. 'Just go away for Pete's sake!' He looked over his shoulder at the door as he heard some people skid to a stop.
"Wait! Do you guys think the ghost might've hidden in the library?"
Blood seemed to drain from Korii's face as more students' footsteps stopped in front of the door. Korii looked at the girl and on impulse, tackled her. He covered her mouth with one and made a 'shhhh' sound. "Be quiet, we can't let them find us okay?" Korii whispered urgently hoping that she'd play along before wanting an explanation.
The library door creaked open and curious eyes peered in before entering.

"Scary things should just go bye-bye... I don't know why some people like it..." She sighed. "Dolls are scarier though...They kill." She added, remembering what movie she watched when she was young. She couldn't help herself to not believe it. Dolls do anything stare and kids talk to anything that looks real. The thought of herself carrying a doll could have made her get scared again, but this time she has better control and someone is with her.
Later, the invisible boy introduced himself as Korii Conrad. She smiled at who knows where. She tried to look for his eyes, but she can't. "I'm Yukina Tsukiyomi!" She said cheerfully. She hoped Korii does not betray her, since the last one did, by stealing her stuff. She bit her lips as she thought about that girl, whom she hated most yet at the same time, sad. She figured she shouldn't think so much for a traitor, but she can't help herself to.
While she's thinking back her childhood, she could hear footsteps. Lots of them. They sound violent. Well, maybe not violent, but it's as if they were looking for something urgent.
That's weird. Is the school hiding something from us? To go searching for something this late at night...
She almost giggled when she thought of that, but Korii quickly covered her mouth. She wondered what made him do that. It's almost unlikely to do it on purpose with a person he just met, so maybe there's a reason what made him so panic. She heard the word, ghost. She figured out maybe they were looking for Korii mistaking him as a ghost, since she thought he's a ghost when she first saw him or felt him. The bunch of students then start wondering if he is hiding in the library. Which he is.
She nodded slightly, but figured it won't do any good if they saw her 'posing' like being kidnapped. When they the door started to budge, she pulled Korii's hand away from her and pulled him to a corner. There, she pushed him to the wall and she herself right beside him. If Korii appear faint again, maybe she'll get to block their view from him. At least they have a slight chance. This sure is exciting, ones in a while, that is.

Yukina pushed him bad into a corner where the darkness seemed to appear the thickest. The shrouds seemed to cover the two for the moment but it wasn't helping that the girl was wearing white. White and black just don't mix. The shine of one of the students flashlight shined across the room, illuminating the mundane library. Dust particles in the air shined. The circle of light drew closer to the corner.
Korii sucked in his breath and grabbed Yukina's hand, just lightly. With a small flick of his wrist Korii's wand shot down his sleeve where he oft kept it for reasons of convenience and was in his hand. A simple trick he had learned from his two elder sisters. His hand felt slightly clammy. The boy had never cast a spell before. The only magic he ever used so far was, well, involuntary.
"Oh may this spell let us disappear, it's the thought of getting caught we fear."
Yukina's image hastily faded as well as Korii's. The moment they both were fully visible, Korii could still faintly see Yukina simply because they were both invisible and possibly because they were in physical contact. The light from the flashlights began to check the corners. When one passed over their corner, Korii's heart sank and yet still managed to beat fiercely. He could've sworn that Yukina would be able to hear it with their bodies so close to one another. The idea caused blood rush to Korii's cheeks which were probably visible to the girl and only the girl.
Then it hit him. His spell worked! Oh he was lucky. It didn't matter if it was a corny chant at all, it had worked and that's all that really mattered. Korii grinned triumphantly and then turned his attention to the angry mob. All of them scowling and many of them looking rather grumpy from the lack of sleep.
"Screw the ghost... I'm tired..."
"Me too..."
"We're going to bed.."
"B-But you guys what about the gh-"
"Who cares?! We have class in the morning!"
With that, the guys headed towards the door, closing it quietly behind them as to not awake the also sleep-deprived woman. Korii let out a loud exhale, tilted his head up so he wouldn't blow his breath at Yukina. He had only just noticed he had been holding it.
"You alright?" Korii asked with a boyishly charming smile.

Korii grabbed on to Yukina's hand lightly. Yukina didn't mind though. He must be scared being beaten up by five guys. She bit on her lips as they come closer. Seriously, though, why do they want to look for a ghost that much? Ghosts are well, undead right? You can't touch ghosts. Your hand will just slip off if you touch one, right? If they want to beat up a ghost that badly, go look for a zombie or something. But maybe they're looking for excitement. Boys are... like that.
Suddenly, she heard Korii chant. She looked up sideways and saw him fading. But after a while, he's visible again. Yukina thought she should keep the questions for later. The group is coming closer, and she heard them complaining after a short while. Soon, they left. Funny they gave up so easily. If they were caught, well, she could have some fun. Yes, twisted fun.
After they left, Yukina turned around and walked back several steps. She observed the group of students as they left grumpily. Korii asked is she's alright. She's more than alright, because all she did was just waiting for them to leave.
"Yeup! It's kinda fun. Are you alright? You used a spell earlier, right?" She smiled sheepishly. She's getting a bit tired, but she should be able to last for another two hours or so, but since she met Korii, she would hang out with him until he wants to go back to bed. She's sure she can't sleep this 'early' anyways.
"How did they find you?" She asked, curious how the chase after Korii began. All she could think is that he wanted to have a drink, so he went outside, but got caught, and, well, chased. Funny the students didn't get scared though. Maybe they are the soldier's children or just some brave mages. Well, it's good to know that now some student wouldn't run away when something bad happens.

Korii nodded at her first two questions as she smiled meekly. Her next quetion was a bit harder to answer. His eyebrows knitted together in a thoughtful fashion before folding his arms. He squinted his eyes at the ground, attempting to backtrack to the beginning of it all.
The day had seemed pretty normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. When he got home and into his room, he was exhausted from walking about the whole school. The regular routine when you start going to a new school. Try to memorize where everything is at and find people you know or would at least get a long with. Korii had accidentally left his door open. And it was simple, a ball-like toy rolled into his room. The other students asked him to throw it back. So Korii got up out of bed and picked up the ball. With how tired the poor boy was, his self-control for his magic abilities went a little haywire.. He had came out of his room, a floating ball. The students freaked and apparently wanted to try out exorcism.. Quite an unfortunate event.
"...And that's what started everything. Silly isn't it?" Korii softly chuckled as he ended the story of his almost eventless day. Then it struck him. "What are you doing in the library, Yukina?"
He raised an eyebrow. Certainly this girl hadn't beeen chased down into the library and she definitely was human.. Well, a mage but that's if you're getting specific. Either way, the girl was still living and last time Korii had checked, neither of the two species were born nocturnal.

OOC: I gots new policy in my mother site. So, here's the policy.
While waiting for Korii's reply, Yukina tilted her head sideways and attempt to read the book's title on the side-cover. She looked weird, but she needs to do this in order to read the titles. She searched while looking for a good book and nodded several times to let him know she's listening.
She was surprised how Korii got into trouble, expressed by standing up straight and looking weirdly at Korii. "But that's not fair! You're just trying to help, right? Besides, why do they think you're a harmful ghost instead of a friendly ghost? You picked up the ball for them!" She said, protesting and complaining. She couldn't believe them. She wanted to give them a piece of her mind. She wanted to punch them in the face for treating Korii like that.
"Oh, uh, I, uh, too tired to sleep. It happens sometime..." She answered, rubbing the back of her head because she's embarrassed to be too tired. After that, she continued looking for her book, and found one. She took it out and flip a few pages. Her lips narrowed, which means she smiled slightly.
She decided on this book and closed the book with a soft 'bump!'. Then, she checked for her library card. She looked all over her pockets and realized it's in her room. Doomed, she slid the book slowly to the corner of the shelves. It's to make sure no one gets it until she does. Selfish, but at least she is not hiding it.
"Hehe, I hope you don't mind..." She always considered sliding the book in the far corner hiding. She bit her lips and hid squeezed both her hands. She wanted that book, and she had done something bad in front of Korii. Well, bad for her anyways.
OOC: Yes, quality over quantity...

Korii just smiled and held back laughter as Yukina seemed to have a strong reaction to what had happened. He shrugged and assured her that it wasn't a big deal whatsoever. Whatever happened, happened. His soft expression exchanged with one of mild bewilderment as she informed him of the reason why she could not sleep. It didn't last long before it reverted back to a gentle smile.
He watched in content silence as she picked out a book, check her clothes, then place it back in the corner of a shelf. Korii raised an eyebrow and couldn't help but chuckle this time. It was merely funny how she acted as if the world was going to end because she was going to reserve a book for herself.
The boy raised his hand and patted Yukina's head. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure no one was going to check out that book when there's a billion others in this library. Besides, who else is going to come to the library this late?" Korii reassured the girl. He couldn't help but mentally add in, 'who else in this school goes to the library, period?'
People nowadays just didn't seem to enjoy reading as much as they should. Or used to. Korii shrugged and took Yukina's hand in his own on impulse. He led them out of the library and into the hallway before releasing the girl's hand and tilting his head to one side, questioningly.
"So... I'm assuming we have to go get your library card?"
ooc: i felt bad for not replying in such a long time D:[/size]
